Virtual Driver Education Classes

These classes for teens under the age of 18 are taught by our staff of State-certified instructors and are broadcast live from one of our classroom facilities.  This is an interactive course.  The virtual class meets for 24 hours in total, satisfying the State of Ohio requirement for teen driver training.  Class sessions each month meet Monday through Thursday for two consecutive weeks unless otherwise noted (see below). Students may begin on any night. Missed nights may be made up on a later date either virtually or at one of our in-person classes. Students must attend each unique hour of the 24 hour course. Repeated hours cannot count toward completion.

The 8 hours of behind-the-wheel training required to complete the program will be scheduled individually with each student.  With the passage of House Bill 74 in the summer of 2021, the State of Ohio requires a student to complete all 24 hours of classroom instruction and successfully pass the final exam before being eligible to begin behind-the-wheel training.  Driving hours with an instructor will not be scheduled until after the student has met the State-mandate of House Bill 74.  If the student prefers to postpone behind-the-wheel training until a later date, just let us know.

In order for a student to participate in this interactive virtual course, the student must utilize a camera-equipped and microphone-equipped device such as a desktop, laptop or notebook computer or a tablet or smartphone.  The student must log-in each class date with both first and last name displayed for attendance purposes and the student must be on camera at all times during instruction.

Participating students must reside within our service area   Check our "Service Area" page for eligibility.

4) Once we have received a signed/dated Training Agreement and payment has been made in full, we will contact you to confirm receipt of payment in full and to confirm a reserved slot in the program. If you do not receive a confirmation from us within 72 hours of your payment, contact us via email and/or phone.

5) On the class date a link will be emailed to you with the access code to join the virtual class. This link is a one-time use link that will be emailed to you the day of the class and cannot be re-used or shared by another student.  There will be a new and unique access code for each class date.

7)  Attendance will be monitored periodically throughout each class date.

8) Missed class dates can be made up in either the virtual class or in a traditional class if space is available, but made up classes must correspond to the same classes that may be missed. For example, if a student were to miss the first Tuesday of the two-week class, then the student must make up a first Tuesday.

9)  Following completion of all 24 hours of the virtual class, arrangements will be made with each student as to a date and time when the student must take the State-mandated final exam at any of our 4 classroom locations.  The final exam must be taken in-person, it will not be offered in the virtual setting or online.
